As the DOW continues its move below the coveted 13,000 mark, Crude Oil also continues to hover closer to the $100/barrel level. Taking all economic and geopolitical events into account, there is still in my opinion a greater risk of downturn than an upside movement. The deviation effect from Iran is beginning and new supplies are being filled. More and more crude oil is entering the marketplace. The US continues to build in our crude inventories. And Europe is still standing on shaky ground. Barring any unforeseen catastrophic event, I believe the worst is behind us.

Propane has also continued on its downturn and is starting to look very nice for summer fills. The unfortunate event for most marketers this year was the low volume due to warm weather. Most marketers are carrying gallons forward from March contracts. However, a colder April has helped in depleting those contracts before summer. I predict much better propane numbers in 2012 than 2011. Please stay tuned for more info on summer fill pricing and 2012/2013 season heating contracts. As always, all information provided is my opinion and I cannot be held responsible for any outcomes on futures movements. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give me a call.

Best regards,
